As usual I’m a little tardy posting this, but better late than never, right?  I’m very excited to announce that Tabula Rasa will be partnering up with the very talented photographer and artist Nicky Watts, a longtime friend. Nicky’s work includes spearheading the “Wear Recycle” project, an innovative and ambitious exhibition in which participants model paper sculptures cast from their own bodies. The project has led to a series of stunning photographs showcasing her talent behind the lens.

Nicky’s work will also be featured in the upcoming redesign of tabularasadesigns.com, so keep your eyes peeled. Tabula Rasa will be providing the design for the new nickywatts.com, which promises to be a challenging and exciting project.

Nicky and I have been friends for years, but this will be our first time collaborating creatively, so excitement abounds. Stay tuned for more details!

The internet has become a cluttered, frustrating, unsightly place.  A lot of web designers seem to operate with the goal of cramming as much content into a small space as possible.  You may have even gotten dragged down into the murky depths yourself.  You started out with the best of intentions.  You just wanted people to see what you had to offer.  So, you hired a web designer.  He designed something for you that looked all right, and you were happy for a little while.  But then it didn’t do everything you wanted.

So what happened?  You built something else on top of it.  An ad hoc navigation section, or cool new Twitter plugin, or contact form.

And then you did it again…and again…and again…

And now when you look at your site, you can’t even remember the vision you had for it when this all started!  Your visitors can’t tell what’s what, and they’re getting almost as frustrated as you.  STOP.

Wouldn’t you like to just start fresh?

It’s time to clear your mind and forget everything that brought you to this point.  When you approach a website as a Blank Slate, you can identify the most important message you are trying to get across, and get it out there without all the clutter.

This is why I started Tabula Rasa Web Design.  I create websites and UIs that people want to interact with.  Why?  Because they are clean, open, inviting, and easy to navigate.

So if you need help starting fresh on the web, drop me a line!  I love nothing so much as a Blank Slate.
